Hi all...
Ok, I've been reading through this thread and there have been several posts about the recruitment process. But I'm still really confused so I'ld like to post this question once again to clear my own doubts.
Is the recruitment procedure in the following sequence:
1) Group ->
2) 1-on-1 ->
3) Kebaya ->
4) Psychometric test ->
5) Swimming (Water Confidence) ->
6) Tea Party ->
7) Management,
with 1 & 2 on the same day, 3, 4 & 5 on another day and 6 & 7 on a third day?
Also, at which stage do they check your height (as it'll be quite sad to be asked to leave at a later round because one's height is discovered to be unacceptable)?
And am I right to say that at the kebaya fitting a beautician checks your facial skin and at the water confidence round they check the rest of your body for flaws?
Thank you all for any clarification and advice!!!
~*~
Apart from the kebaya round (I'm assuming from your nick that you're a guy), is the sequence I have mentioned correct?
Thank you for your thoughtful post!
Your post isn't lengthy at all! Thank you for the advice! Heh. Yeah, I know my mindset has to be flexible regarding the procedures... but I thought I'ld get at least a rough picture so at least there won't be too many nasty surprises. ^_^ntyj wrote: hey girl,
u got them totally right..
however i do want you to see it in a more flexible way, such as sequence might be slight different where kebaya actually comes before swimming, or etc.
And not loook at it as in "okay this is the standard procedure"
Because every batches differs, with different expectations etc.
at any one point in time they may be eliminating those with flaws and yet at another, they might jus kick out thoses pretty ones and accept those average looking gers..
what im trying to say here is...
Get ur stages right but don limit the stages to simply body checking or checking of height etc? u get wad i mean?
U need to focus more on ur whole well being, ur presentation, ur attitude...
for my most recent july batch(walk-in):
1)grp interview
2)1-1 interview
3)kebaya
4)swimming
5)psychometric
6)mgmt interview
7)tea party
with 1,2 & 3 on same day, skin check by interviewer during kebaya
4 & 5 two weeks later with another skin check by lancome beautician
6 & 7 few days later with top mgmt.
as for height issue...
it is a must for a check before grp interview, during kebaya and swimming rd...(for the past batches that i know)
as for failing height at later rd is possible...cos they might missed out ur "height section" when they accepted u for the 1st few rds cos too many candidates..
den only during later interviews where there are lesser candidates left, they have a more time to thoroughly scan on ur whole profile again...
den they might be like "eh...this ger is only 156cm, we need to examine her again"-->this jus an assumption but this is a possibility where they will boot u at a later rd...but if they do find that u have got wad it takes, height criteria will be secondary....but that is if ur height falls ard 156-158 la..
155 might be too short...that one can don think abt it already..the shortest girl i known from SIA measures at 156...so ya...
hope u get a clearer pic now..
sorry my post is too lengthy
haha..yeah..i wont say they are untrue...but from my point of view, it will be best not to get a gp to certify ur height...initialy i wanted to do that..grivoise wrote:Your post isn't lengthy at all! Regarding height, sometimes I'm measured as 1.58, sometimes I'm measured as 1.6, and this other FA advised to me go to a GP and get my height certified so the airlines can't dispute! Is that too much? Also, I heard they're now gonna follow Emirates style, that means measuring all the way with your arms straight up instead of just height (like what Astroboy said, if your arms are long and strong... haha).
