General economy and IT jobs in investment

Myself and my girlfriend currently work as senior developers authoring front office order and derivatives management software.

I have a lot of derivatives and swaps knowledge and currently earn about GBP90K. If I was freelance I'd be on GBP800 per day.

Can anyone tell me what sort of income i could expect in Singapore and whether the IT/Investment Bank/Hedge fund arena is buoyant enough to handle 2 more british workers?

(My mother is singaporean and I have probably 40+ family members there, so moving there isn't a problem, it's just a question of income and employment probability)

The job market for finance is picking up again, but you'll definitely want to pursue your leads before making the plunge to come over here. The best way is to get a transfer/recommendation from whoever you're now working for, so you can get an expat salary instead of having to start from a local base.
