Housing Recommendation

Post by Strong Eagle » Wed, 26 Jul 2006 7:43 am

I know a fellow moving from KL to Singapore. Wants a bungalow or semi detached, "away from where most expats stay". Drive time not a problem so anywhere on the island is OK. About 8K per month to spend.

He'd like a yard, something unique, a pool if possible. I've recommended Watten, Sixth Ave, upper resovoir area, Kings Road area, and somewhere around Mt. Faber. Any other thoughts as to where he might look?

I recommend Watten, so that you guys can get together

On a serious note, if he really like Watten area, doubt can get a bungalow at that price, but can get a semi-detached though.

Pasir Panjang area is nice but not so accessible, same goes for the north area (CTE is a jams guaranteed highway).

Still feels Bukit Timah is the best compromise.

Scan here to have an idea of prices near Watten:

Hope that helps :)
