Can I ask what you mean by "tatami foam" though? Tatami itself isn't a bed, it's just the hard grass matting. The futon mattress on top of it is what you sleep on. It's not very well adapted to Singapore though, in this climate you'll have to fumigate and dry the hell out of it or it'll be soggy and bug-infested in no time...
