Help with postal services

Post by Miss Swan » Tue, 18 Jul 2006 9:24 am

What's the cheapest method to send a package from Singapore to China?

Singpost's prices are exorbitant and I want the most economical way where time is not a concern (3-4 weeks delivery time is fine).

Any suggestions?

It might be a really stupid suggestion but they have things here called post offices.

You go into one and they have people there who have nothing else to do all day than to tell people how much it costs to send things from one place to another.

But then again , .....

Thing is, I"m not in town now, and I need my family to ship some stuff over. That's why I can't go myself.

Singpost = Singapore Post

And they're really expensive.

As for weight, it'll be below 500g. Maybe about 300-400g. If anyone can suggest a cheaper way to courier the stuff over, I'm eternally grateful.

as far as i know, SingPost is the cheapest.

DHL and Fedex are here, probably more expensive.

Was the price you were quoted for airmail or surface mail. Surface mail is much much cheaper and takes several weeks to several months depending where it's final destination is.

Singpost is still very expensive to me :( Runs into tens of dollars for a small lightweight package...

The price I got was for airmail.

I believe the cheapest would be via regular airmail.
Probably will cost you less than $15 including registration.
