pre-k school questions? recommedations?

Post by movingsoon » Mon, 17 Jul 2006 3:44 am

we are in the processes of moving to Sing and we have a 3 year old.

We would like to enroll him in Pre-K and have been doing plenty of researh on the net.
we came accross www.buttercupsmontessori.com, does anyone have any feedback regarding this school? I'll be honest although our interactions has been via e-mail or phone. They have been very nice and accomodating. So they are obviously our top choice for now.
If someone is familiar with this school? how far is it from the nearest MRT station?
Are there other Pre-K that is recommended that is preferrably closer to the city center and near an MRT? We are not looking for any "international" schools specifically, we ok with a local school with a good reputation. Our budget is around $5K-6K annualy. If you have a recommendation. Please attach a website if possible. Thanks!

I think it is best to first decide where u will be living and then accordingly search for a good school in the area. Loads of good montessories and kindergartens around in each area.

In my opinion if you are looking at Montessori, you may want to try Modern Montessori International,as compared to other schools that have got a Montessori behind their school's name.

I have enrolled my 3 year old in MMI,West Coast, and being his first time and first school, the teachers were very accomodating to him.Especially when he used to cry for the first month, every time I sent him to school.Up till now, I still tend to peek into his class to see whats he doing.

The teachers do give feedbacks all the time he attends school and they also do have field trips.

I am a montessori teacher and I can safely tell you that Montessori is a good school to enrol your child into. One thing's for sure, your child will definitely be independant. :D
You should be beautiful in your own eyes.
