Singapore Expats

1.) What kind of car should I expect if I budgeted around S$1K to either rent or buy every month?
I'm not opposed to used cars! are used cars more realistic for this price?
2.) Does someone know a website that outlines how auto financing works in Sing? I freak out everytime I see 100K for a Toyota. But I see people driving them, so it can't be that hard to get.

3.)How much are monthly or annual passes for buses and mrt? Do children (3 and <1) need one?

There are none (for adults), but fares are cheap and you won't spend much over S$100/month on commuting. Kids under 90cm are free.
