Living around Paya Lebar MRT

Can I ask anyone living around Paya Lebar MRT? I'm trying to look for a condo there. e.g. Butterworth 8.. any comments? Thanks!

There is a lot of construction work going on in that area, but then we could say that about most of the island. Traffic too.

Convenient location for public transport and food, definitely, although if you feel the heat (as I do) I suggest you try the walk to the MRT during the daytime and see how it affects you, before committing to a place.

seasider, thanks for your comment. Actually, I will move to work in Singapore in Sept and I start to look for apartments now

BTW, can I ask whether there is any good place to live? my housing budget is around SG$2800.....

why walk when you have bus stop just opposite going to
the mrt station?

By all means do some research now but I strongly recommend you stay in a hotel or a Serviced Apartment when you first arrive, until you find your bearings.

Suitable areas will depend on your circumstances - single, married, kids, etc., and also where you will work. Do you want to be close to nightlife, and what kind? Supermarkets? Nowhere in Singapore is far away, but we tend to get lazy after a while and expect everything to be close-by!

Give us some more information and I'm sure people will be happy to advise. Also your budget - what do you expect for that amount, e.g., 3 bed condo with facilities or...?

The property pages on this site have tons of useful information, too.

Seasider, thanks for your comment! Actually, my requirement on the condo is 3 bed-room, quiet, high floor, near MRT, within 10 mins walk is okay as I always do that in my home country. Is it easy to find it in Singapore? Potentialy, I'm interested in East Coast because it is quiet and low density.
