Mascara & Eye-liner
Any recommedations on long-lasting, water-proof, voluminous mascara (best if it makes lashes look longer)
And also long-wearing, smudge-proof eye liner????

Hey Emiko, i've tried Maybelline mascara but i don't really like their texture.. it makes my lashes dry & also clump together.. As for Shu Uemura, i've got friends using their eye curler & comment that its good. As for their mascara & eye-liner, i've not heard any comments so far.. Since u've been using it all this while, can u share, which series of mascara & eye-liner u using? And what's their effect as well?
Other than this brands, any other better ones? I've seen a lot of advertisement on Lancome mascara.. their promoting quite well! Has anyone tried that before?

Hello!
No, I've never tried Maybelline before
You might want to try Fasio or Shiseido or Dior or Shu Uemura?
These few brands for mascara is quite popular in japan.
Yes, Shu Uemura's eyelash curler is the best. cost about 25$??
cheap/
For eyeliner, the most popular one is Majolica Majorca by Shiseido.
Unfortunately, it is unavailable in Singapore.
I've always used Shu Uemura so i don't know about other brands
What series? I don't know
I just take and buy

Hi White belle,
The Shu Uemura drawing mascara is good, very black but it doesn't give you the "WOW" effect if you are not born with thick lashes. It is good to do layering with that cause the drawing mascara really is VERY black.
I used to use Helena Rubinstein (can be found at isetan scotts) extravagant ( i don't know how to spell that) mascara and it is VERY good. I can't deny that Lancome's got good mascara, BUT their mascara dries up fast. Personally, I still prefer Helena's mascara for the dramatic look. If you really want a mascara that is very black, you have to use waterproof ones, it holds the curl better and is defintely darker.
For a more budget one, Maybelline's volume express would be good. I'm using that right now, quite budget, haha. For maybelline's, you have to use it best when it is semi wet, meaning not brand new. You can try blowing the wand before applying, so that it won't be too heavy that it weighs down after curling your lashes. I recently tried the New one from Loreal, called the volume shocking mascara? That one is really SHOCKINGly good. ha.

Thanks for both opinions! I shall visit one of the departmental stores one of this day, to jump from different brands of counter & decide which one suits me most..
Since both of u highly recommended Shu Uemura masacra.. their counter should be the 1st to patronage.

I used almost solely Japanese as they are very flattering for Asian complexion. I have tried canmake, kanebo and kate mascaras. They had worked well and I had no problem.emiko08 wrote:Hello!

I heard raves about Majolica lash and eye shadow products. Unfortunately not available in SG but you can get it in Taiwan or HK if heading that way

Shesiedo's lash curler is quite similar to Shu's. It contours nicely against the shape of my eyes.
Great! im pretty sure u wont regret after trying!! but u have to get their eye makeup remover to remove as it is TAT waterproof!... or u can simply use a oil cleanser like i do....White_Belle wrote:Magrit, of course i wouldn't mind paying lesser & get the effect as same to those branded ones..
