Any suggestion of places to see or visit in Hong Kong? This is for a couple visiting HK for the first time. They are thinking of spending 2 days 3 nites - is that enough? The last time I was in HK was at least ten years ago, am sure things must have changed quite a bit since then, any recommendation besides the disneyland?
Try reading the 'Lonely Planet' travel guide lots of useful information plus good advice on dangers and annoyances. A few days won't be enough to see good much of what is there though.
Agreed that it is too short hence I am asking for advice. I guess the focus will be key areas and good bargain shopping. I recalled vaguely a place similar to a flea market selling clothes at bargain price but not sure where and what is it called now, does anyone know what I am talking about?
you should check out chungking mansions if you don't mind sleaziness.. dunno how long that place will still exist until it gets refurbished or torn down..
if you like island hopping you can take a ferry from central which stops at lantau island, cheung chau and peng chau and see a different side of hk..
other things interesting: temple street, ladies market, the peak, central esculator..
