Next Cabin Crew Recruitment

Post by SGIRL » Mon, 10 Jul 2006 1:31 am

Dear all,

would anyone be kind enuff to list down the next possible cabin crew recruitment, stuffs like airline, criteria, date, time & venue?

Im very keen in exploring dis industry n hopefully into a career. Although i may meet the education requirement, i may not possess the height..

After reading other threads, i found out that Emirates takes arm length into consideration. but wat if my height falls below the expected 157.5cm? Would i be required to take height measurement before im allowed to go in for the interview?

Many thanks in advance for clearing all my doubts.

Rgds

hey SGirl,

im not sure when is the next opening as the recent one jus passed on the 1st and 2nd july..it might be just next mth or even few mths time, really depends on the manpower they need....in anyway keep urself involved in this forum and u should be able to know when is the next date =]

as for ur height...there are criteria ..1.58m at least.
however, my word of advice is if ur height falls below 156cm...i think u can forget abt trying...im not discouraging u because ive personally went thru this disappointment when i was asked to leave after they measured my height..its really upsetting u know..

BUT..if ur height is abt 157cm?? u can just try ur luck(iv managed to pass thru a few interviews this time rd already)...although height might be important, it may be secondary compared to ur pleasant disposition, gd comlpexion, etc, ur overall presentation basically. Even if u fail, take it lightly.......just try it out..cos u never know..u might just be wanted by them! =)

as for arm length requirement...im not sure bt it also, but wad i know is for those who fall slightly below 158cm (*156 and 157*), they might be given another chance to try reaching a certain height.

**note the whole purpose of the height criteria is due to work purpose. You need to be able to reach the luggage compartment for passengers, therefore, should u be not so tall, it might be quite difficult for u to help the passengers....

ive feedback from my frds from SIA that even thou they are 161cm or ard there, they still have to climb to slot in the luggages...
so ya...height do play a part......

so how tall are u?

hello..

erm..other airlines? ive not taken any other airlines but i do know that tiger airways has compartments that are not so high, so their requirements for height may be more flexible..even for emirates, i think they are pretty flexible too as long as u don fall below 156cm?
just try lo....k? =]

as for QATAR im not so sure, anyway i heard from a frd few days back that QATAR is hiring, but im not sure which date...u better have it checked out or something if not u will miss it already!

Good luck girl!

Not Qantas (Australian based) but it's Qatar (Saudi Arabian based). Read about them at http://www.qatarairways.com/index.php?i ... .0.0&tab=5

My information comes through internal means. It has not been advertised that I am aware of. Just thought I'd given everyone 'heads up' for a change.
