Can anyone give me advices on the Portable Aircon.... Isit useful ? as I m planning to buy one for my heated house.... living on the top floor, with the unbearable heat.... :mad: [/b]

They're not useful...you'll need ice to make the aircon cool...just get a normal airconditioning unit. :)

I think the OP is talking about portable Aircons not air coolers. Like the ones made by DeLonghi and such. These are actually airconditioning units

The good portable aircons work really well...but they cost at least $1000 here from what I have seen. As SMS said you have to get an aircon not a cooler...beware when buying :wink:
