Call back on public phones

Hi everybody,
I am in Singapore since Monday and I like to know if it is possible to be called back on public phones. There is a number on the phones but I try to do it with my cell phone and it put "Wrong number".
Did someone ever manage to get called ?
It would be nice if someone could answer it is for my girlfriend to pay less than on my cell phone when she calls from Scotland

buy a oversea pre-paid phone card,like my maid do when she called back
home.this way u can control your cost.limit your calling time.

I use this service. Go to www.voipstunt.com and sign up for an account for 10euro. Once you have a subscription, give yr girlfriend your acct details. She can use your account and place a callback from her home line to your Singapore housephone or mobile. The phone call will be free of charge even if she calls you on yr mobile.

I use this service to call to offices in the US and I get 1200min of free calls a month - saves me a lot of money and call quality is great!

Totally agree, there's no cheaper alternatives here in Singapore
