newbies

you guys can try http://www.golfers.com.sg

I go there every Sat, also quite a beginner myself...it's a nice range, $3 for 50 balls, $6 for 100 etc..

good teachers there, and close to town.

the 9 hold golf course in tanglin is also good, though i have never been there myself.

You guys interested in signing up for golf lessons + PC test ?

I have heard there is a new golf school at Jurong Country Club called Heartland...supposed to be really good. Might be worth a look.

Excellent alot of beginners! Iam not actually a beginner just have not payed for a few years and was never actually any good anyway! Haven't got clubs, anyone any idea how much it would cost to ship from England? Probs cheaper to just get another set i'd imagine!

When i do sort out some clubs it would be great to play with some of you guys who are of a low standard like myself. Do any courses have a clubs hire option???

Maybe! Jurong is too far....I go to the one in Queens, they give good golf lessons, and you can choose which teacher you want to! a few of my friends were taught there.

I play with another friend (a good player) on Sat around 10am at Queens whenever we can ...if anyone wants to join....

:)

Yups, Queens is one of our options.

Thus far, only Sailaway & I are talking about signing up for lessons and PC test.

It would be great if we could get 2 more to join us.

Yes, cheaper to get another set here ..

Not sure about the hire option in Singapore Clubs ... but my take is, if you are really keen in golf, getting your own set will be more cost efficient. Most importantly, having our own sets means we get to understand our clubs through constant use ... and hopefully ... aids us in executing better swings.
