Think you misunderstand "common rooms". They don't really refer to dining room or living room, but bed rooms, in general. Oh yes, all flat mates have to share dining room and living room.Suriya wrote:Hi, I'm 24/single/f and will be relocating to Singapore for work in 1 or 2 month's time. My office is located in the central business district and I've been looking for reasonable rooms for rent. I see a lot of people requesting and offering common rooms for rent on this site. Can someone tell me what this is?
Some cases, yes, some people are willing to live in living room. In this case, yes, totally no privacy coz they will sleep on sofa (I think), their belongs are also in the living room. However, their rent might be just half of normal rent.Suriya wrote: Do you basically rent a dining room or living room and turn it into a bedroom? No privacy I'm assuming? I have no idea why this would be attractive to some.. enlighten me pls. If it's not as bad as i think, then maybe i'll start considering this option.
