Tried one good and cheap nail extension....

Post by geleneong » Fri, 01 Aug 2008 1:50 pm

Hi all...

Just to share an experience that I had with a new spa called Qian Zu Ge in balestier....

I received a mailer from them on their one-stop parlour on their promotion.

There are facial, body massage, foot massage and manicure.

I took up the manicure promotion and visited them. Nail extension was only $48 full set. I'm a freak for nice nails, they did pretty well at that kind of price... Happy with their service and skills.

Thought of trying their massage, have anybody been to this place call Qian Zu Ge? Is their massage good?

Please give opinion on their massage if you ever been there...

Thanks

i am sceptical about one stop places as they tend to be able to do many different things whilst not being good at any one thing in particular.

for manis and pedi's i'd recommend Polished Divas Nail Lounge in Bugis. they do your nails whilst you sit on a massage chair and watch a movie of your choice. i've been there a few times and the customer service has been excellent. one other thing is, they weren't pushy with sales. i hate pushy sales people!

strip @ wheelock place (3rd flr)

I find their full pedi treatments satisfactory & reasonably priced @ $35 per session (full pedi = they do everything incl. lower leg exfoliation scrub & a massage)

Many other salons charge same or similar prices & might not provde the FULL service eg: exfoliation of legs (hve to pay extra for their scrub)

positano - yes, hve been regularly doing brazilian waxing with STRIP (for the past 1+yr). I hve not been to any other shops for brazilian waxing so I have no basis of comparison. But have recommended other frens to STRIP (some of them frequented VISAGE salon prev.) & they hve stuck with STRIP since. For me, I feel STRIP does the job well, no complaints till date (& it is reasonably priced).

P/S: just don't fall prey into the therapist's trap when she tries to sell their waxing after-treatment creams OR their IPL services (which are over-priced IMHO) - I always tell the therapist that I am not interested & shut my mouth, LOL

hi Aneles,

do you use the same therapist each visit? if so, could you share the therapist's name? i haven't tried waxing in singapore yet and i am a little nervous.

thanks for your advice and for the heads-up about the potential add-ons. at least i am prepared. yep, totally agree with you re the products being unnecessary.

my therapist name is HELEN - from wheelock branch. I like her as she is fast/quick with every swipe (less pain).

if you are a new customer, i think there is a newbie 1st time price - pls call them & enquire more. :D
