PEBBLE BAY GOING NUTS - GET ME OUT OF HERE- CAN WE?

Post by Mirandouli » Mon, 19 Jun 2006 1:45 pm

Despite years of relocation - we made a HUGE mistake. Viewed our place on a dingey grey day and thought it was dark because of weather. WRONG> IT’s really dark. Not the worst problem - just lovely hefty electricity bills to keep it from feeling like a morgue.
not all apts have bright views, despite the lovely marketing photos that by the way, must have been taken years ago!!

We live at Pebble Bay on East Coast, and we can live with not being close to an MRT, poor public transport, and slimy black grunge on lagoon swimming pool walls, everything that doesn’t work in apartment.

Our problem is that we have 2 neighbours on our floor and one directly above with Yapping dogs that start a 6am AND GO OFF ALL THROUGH THE DAY, and a midnight to 3am furniture mover upstairs? Management is hopeless in mediating. They do nothing! Don't want confrontation. BUT NEED SLEEP!"

Does anyone know of a way out of a lease without using the diplomatic clause - we've only been here 6 months.

Also any suggestions for place 5,000 pm, 4 bedroom BRIGHT, QUIET near transport and effective DOG POLICY. east or West coast ok.

Please understand, I know lots of people are happy here, but we're not!
Sorry to be so negative, but we've had it!

Sorry I'm a newbie and your replies aren't coming through on the site, just in my in box, and I'm so new I can't reply directly to you. Must be a way????

Grateful - Thanks Taos, I'll certainly look into your suggestions - I thought Diplomatic clause was only applicable if you were leaving the country - Thankfully we're not. I love it here, (well apart from apartment choice!) :D

Thanks Spam, we have 2,500sq and pay privately for external storage so need at least this amount of space. Lucky you love your place. thanks for the time you took to reply to my post.

Oh dogs a barking in the background again ho hum :o

We'll find a way out. forever hopeful.

One of my fren is staying in one of the conservation house in towner road (near boon keng mrt n 5-10 mins to town). The place is huge (more than big), double storey and i think he pays about $3-$3.5k/month? With a place that big, there is no way you can hear the barking dog next door, and nope, you have no neighbour upstairs either. In fact, the area is very quiet, in general. Jus that there are no facilities, but with the space, and the rent, you can always join a gym like fitness first if you want to run or swim.

You might want to consider checking that area out, jus google and you can find it. Might be worth breaking the contract, pay for the 1 month penalty and move out.
