Where to stay in Singapore?

Post by Mmmariah » Fri, 09 Jun 2006 4:53 pm

Hi,

I have just moved to Singapore and will be working in Suntech city - where would you advice me to start looking for appartments - in what area? Is there any nice areas around Suntech, which is not too expensive?

Thanks,
Maria

Is it possible to get a non-expensive place near Suntec itself? :o

Yes it is possible. The Plaza Apartments are at the back of the Plaza Hotel on Beach Road. You can get a 1-bedroom unit there for about $1500. No facilities but many of the apartments have excellent sea/bay views. 10 - 12 minutes walk to Suntec. Alternatively you can try Burlington Square on Bencoolen Street and next to Sim Lim Square where you may be able to get 1-bedroom for around $1700. Wlaking time is about 20 mins. A similar distance away would be the Mount Sophia area, Sophia Court in particular. You can get a 1-bedroom apartment for around $1500.

I think east coast would be a good choice too! Nice sea view at east coast parkway and away from the hustle and bustle of the city...its also minutes to Suntec. :P
