Hi,
I have just moved to Singapore and will be working in Suntech city - where would you advice me to start looking for appartments - in what area? Is there any nice areas around Suntech, which is not too expensive?
Thanks,
Maria

Is it possible to get a non-expensive place near Suntec itself?

Goatboy will always cherish his former goatgirl.
But the world is full of fluffier ones.

Yes it is possible. The Plaza Apartments are at the back of the Plaza Hotel on Beach Road. You can get a 1-bedroom unit there for about $1500. No facilities but many of the apartments have excellent sea/bay views. 10 - 12 minutes walk to Suntec. Alternatively you can try Burlington Square on Bencoolen Street and next to Sim Lim Square where you may be able to get 1-bedroom for around $1700. Wlaking time is about 20 mins. A similar distance away would be the Mount Sophia area, Sophia Court in particular. You can get a 1-bedroom apartment for around $1500.

I think east coast would be a good choice too! Nice sea view at east coast parkway and away from the hustle and bustle of the city...its also minutes to Suntec.
