Labour Costs in Singapore

Post by Mike75 » Wed, 07 Jun 2006 4:54 pm

Hi guys - any ideas of what the exact labour costs in Singapore are?

Let's say I pay 1000 euros net salary in Finland to my employee. That would mean about 1700 euros taking into concideration all the necessary payments I'd have to do (insurances, pensions, taxes).

Any ideas what are the wages in Singapore? If my employee shall receive 1000 S$ net from me, how much I'd be paying the other stuff? I know the taxes aren't high, let's use 10%. But the other stuff I have no idea about.

Thanks,
Mike

As an employer of Singaporeans or PRs, your only obligatory fixed cost is CPF, which is 13% (and you get discounts off this for hiring older workers and some other special cases). Some jobs also require mandatory insurance coverage, but you can get that from any insurance agency, not the govn't.
