Hi all,
As some of you have noticed, the database server crash on 30th May 1130pm and hence the forum is unusable. We managed to restore it on 31st May 1040am.
A moment ago at 930pm, we encounter another error and I have to restart the server to recover it. Thereafter, all posts and messages from 30th May 1130pm to 31st May 930pm were lost. This may be due to the corruption of the database.
This is the first time we have encountered such a problem. It may be related to last night's problem, which is a compatibility issue between the auto update of latest cpanel version, php and MySQL. This morning, we restored the server by updating the php, MySQL to the latest version.
We will try to recover all the data that has been lost and will thoroughly check for bugs or incorrect settings.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Regards,
Pal

i noticed the server was down this morning. and when i managed to log in about 11:30pm i noticed the lastest post by bushbride on the philosophy thread was missing, and a couple of new threads too like the beach lounge one. my PM folders are intact though i didn't post any PMs in the last 24 hours so i wouldn't know if any were lost.
glad the site is back up now!

I wasn't unable to open the site on tuesday night at all, was just guess'n it was bco'z of any urgent server maintenance required or any unpredicted server crash that might have happened.
Was very glad to know today, the site was back and all my old pm's are intact. As i never used the pm today not much idea on that.
Too sad that i have lost couple of my post in some of the movie an dessert threadz!!!!...

& need to post them back.. but relieved that the old post are still safe.
Thanx to admin team, to get the site up and running again.
cheers all.

Anyone with lost messages and posts please reply here.
Those members who registered between that time have to register again. UserID should be more than 16755 but all gone.

Yeah, crashed by my clock around 11:30 pm refreshing a page which timed out repeatedly. Noticed at 9:30 this morning server was still down. but payroll day so was not on the board until about 8:30 just before leaving the office so noticed it was back up. Did not log in until 11:00 tonight when I noticed a rather large gap in my PM messages (24 hrs between messages?

)
edited to note I just noticed that I must have posted a few because I had 7 posts and now only 5 including this one.

I noticed I could not log on at all and did not know what was going on. Finally I sent an email off to admin (thank god I have a pm notification linked to my email so I at least had that email addy; otherwise, I would have been totally lost ) who were very prompt in replying that there was a technical glitch. Also noticed that my post was missing when it got back up.
I'm just glad to have the board back up as I really like this place and would hate for it not to be around.
Thanks to everyone responsible for bringing it back.

I got two pm's from other members before the crash, I read them. So, does that mean that they, too, can disappear, because they have?

They should be lost. All new data between that time was missing.
More than 30 registered members are lost. We couldn't have deleted users cos even if we do, the userID number will still increase,

Yes, if I’m not mistaken lorries are supposed to be an entirely different part of the road, just like those coming in by bus and motorcycle.
