Anyone with 9 to 13 yr olds?

Postby Bubbles » Sun, 28 May 2006 12:50 am

OK, this is a bit previous, but the book I'm working on now is for the above age group and I'm wondering, when I get the first couple of chapters done, which could be a month or two from now, or next week, who knows, would the people on here with kids that age be prepared to let me PM them the chapters to print out and read it first, then if they think the content is OK for their children, let the kids themselves have a read, and pass back the (honest) comments to me?(Such as, whether the main characters 'work' or if they think the action is too slow, fast, ok. etc) I have done this before with local children, but wonder if expat or Singapore kiddies would enjoy or hate my work?

I would not put the work up on the main forum and would do everything the PM way, obviously.
Just wondering. Thanks. Bubbs.

I have a daughter who loves to write stories and I'm sure she would be thrilled to have a read. She is 13. I'll ask her when she is up tomorrow. :)
Glad to have you back, you have been missed.

Hi Bubbs, yep, we have a kid in your age group, who I might add is reading crazy...
We would be happy to help you out. Look forward to hearing from you when you are ready!
Cheers! :)

I have a 10 year old niece who can read for England (sorry Bubbs, not Wales I know!) and I know she would love to help and give good feedback. Just PM details and I can give her email address so you can send.
What's worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care

Am putting my air filled head down to the job, folks. Thanks for all your support, will let you know when the first couple of chapters are polished enough...

I have a 9 year old daughter Bubbles. I'd be happy to read some of your stuff with her and let you know what we think.

I'm trying to write myself so happy to help.

Have you got anything published that we can read?

Bubbs I'm quite a bit more than your age bracket but would really like to read if you don't mind. Besides I still remember what it was like being 9-13.
