The Water Place

Post by punjabiminx » Fri, 26 May 2006 6:36 pm

Hi, Im new to these forums and would like some help with The Water Place condo. We really liked this condo but are a bit concerned about the transport as there does not appear to be a good bus service. I would rather not have to rely on taxis. Can anyone shed any light on what its like to live in the condo, and also what the transport is like? I have a 2.5yr old boy and would like to know if its child friendly, are there a mix of nationalities living there? Thanks.

Water Place is slightly off the public transportation route. However, it is served by the public bus number 158, which can take you to Kallang MRT station, or the feeder bus service called 'BusPlus' which takes you to the Raffles Place area only during peak hours of the day.

Other than that, most residents in the vicinity drive. Or you can try out the new river taxi that takes you toe Raffles Place.

Water Place has quite a high density of expats living there, but the most would be Pebble Bay (just opposite the block) and Costa Rhu.

We just moved here and had initially looked at an apartment at Water Place. It's a great condo with lots of amenities, but the location was a big problem. We don't have a car and wanted to be within easy access of transportation as well. If you're concerned about ease of transportation, then I don't recommend it either.

OK thanks for your replies. Transport is one of our top priorities so looks like WP is off the list.
