Deadpoet won't make it I heard, but don't let that scare you off, drinks are on a reasonable price and the ambience is just great. :D

Great choice Eric - finally we made it!!. As you predicted, great ambience, nice company, sensible prices, excellent European food and it was great to see all of us (bar none) enjoying the great range of fantastic Belgian beers.

Maybe..... just maybe..... this could become an 'official' WNDC venue for 2006 so more can enjoy. It gets my vote anyway. When are we next off there.....??

WOW, Eric, I am really impressed with your social skills! :D
After announcing BIG TIME that you'll talk to Deadpoet http://www.singaporeexpats.com/forum/ftopic29464.html, you chickened out from doing so. And now, when he is not around, you 'sneak' in from the back. Wonder, if this country needs more men like you! :D

Drinking the beer straight from the bottle was one thing, but what really made me laugh was watching the poor barman trying to pour it from the glass back into the bottle without spilling it! But I guess if it keeps your fur dry then it is ok.

Well... :P I did say I could drink whatever's been poured but he insisted on pouring the beer back into the bottle... :roll:

How can I refuse such good service? :P :D

[quote="Eric from the Netherlands
Here's the real story: I DID talk to the man himself last week, but the big man looked away from me and pretended he didnot understand me when I asked him by his name (some seem to have problems understanding their name... :???: ) and wanted to say what was on my mind about all I stated here.

And the funny thing was: The man himself sneeked into the toilet and started complaining about me to some of the staff of coolies (for whatever reason...). I heard this as I was in the men's room, quite silly to be honest.

Ella Scott, show me your social skills next time, look me in the face and tell me? :?

Ever heard of tongue in cheek?

Eric[/quote]

I am getting partly amused by this little drama, partly concerned too, partly baffled with disbeliefs how far this can stretch to. It does affect the people around.

Wondering if this is part of the fun and entertainment of WNDC. Thought it is supposed to be a social thing with fun and laughters in objective.

For the love of God, can people kiss and make up? #-o
