I have jst got a new job with a large co, as Sales Manager my salary will be Sing$ 8000 is that ok to have good life for me & my wife.

Well..that depends if you wife shops in Paragon or Robinsons...
Generally, as a Sales Manager position, this pay is good.

8000 is all I will get..full and final. Wife and I both live a fair life style in HK, how does cost if living compare to Sing & HK

Am a PR in SG and I just came back from a HK trip.
I found that in terms of clothings n eateries,
HK has better value-for-money items n richer in culture as well.
Not sure about guys' likings like electronic gadgets etc. though.

I don't think think there's a significant price difference in either of those, and overall Singapore is usually quite a bit cheaper -- rents, in particular, are
way cheaper than HK.

as an expat i must be missing te "culture" you talk about in HK...sure a wind up..only culture is karaoke and gambling..walk into a sport shop you will find only clothes n shoes no sports equipment...
