I am the CEO of my IT Software company. I would like to make use of outsourced sales people.
Anyone know of any companies that provide professional salespeople on an outsourced basis?
The salespeople may be required to do cold calling and knock on company doors etc etc...
Can you actually see outsourced sales people really working hard on sales on your behalf? You will be paying the company a retainer and then augmented by perhaps a commission based package. But then there are other competing products that they will sell. Which will they pick to focus their efforts? No prizes for getting it right.Of course the easiest sell.
And then there is the question as to how you will work out that they will prioritize you over and above the other inventory of products.
Which then brings me back to the main point.
If you are going through so much trouble and costs doing this with a team for which you have no guarantee of long term loyalty and succession planning, why would you ever give the possiblity of building a team of sales professionals of your own a miss? the incremental costs if any would be outweighed overwhelmingly by the permanence of having your own goose as opposed to borrowing your neighbour's.
