Hi all,
I will be in Singapore and Bangkok soon and I want to buy some "cheap" computer parts. I am wondering if it is better to buy them in Singapore or in Bangkok. I am not sure about Bangkok tho because off probably fake stuff.
I already checked Lim Sim Square on the Web and it does not look bad.
Thx for your help,
Jensemann

My Thai is a bit rusty!
Cheers,

Fortune IT Center is probably the best place in Bangkok for PC stuff. Pantip Plaza is #2 but it's dodgier (shifty guys selling pirated porn and whatnot). However, prices in Singapore are generally cheaper, and communication with vendors is also easier!
Sim Lim is a bit hardcore if you don't know exactly what you want, Funan IT is a bit easier and the Challenger superstore up top is the easiest of all.

Even with it's discount card Challenger prices are usually higher than other places in Funan.

Which would be why I said it's the easiest, not the cheapest.

I quite often end up going there anyway -- I'd rather pay a few dollars more than waste several hours of my time haggling and trying to shave off a few cents.

I’d suggest either a fitbit or if you’re willing to increase your budget, an apple watch. The latter starts at a little over $400, and it’s a great...
