Don't worry Cheeky, I wasn't invited either! :)

I was talking with some of my work mates this afternoon only to discover they were going out as a group on Friday for someone else that is leaving. I don't know this person much, but these gals insist that I join them. Not that I want to, but isn't that a bit wrong to show up to someone's party when you weren't really invited?

Ladies . . . no need to fret - you would most certainly be invited to any party! :)

Hmm, unless I wasn't invited either. :-|

Spent the day at Gelaneagles hospital with my bro' who came to Sing for an Operation.

Not exactly a party.

I think I'd come up with an excuse not to go... those things can be akward.

Exactly what I thought. Thanks, Cheekybeek!

Quasimodo, sorry to hear about your brother. Hope it isn't too serious and wish him a speedy recovery. :)

Thanks very much. The OP went well and he is now as annoying ( :) ) as ever and mesmerising the nurses with his Mandarin - but they make fun of his Beijing-accent.

Yeah, well, apologies, but seems sporting wasn't in anybody's vocabulary this morning either. Rough day trying to unsuccessfully smooth feathers.

Yup, he's been working at the Embassy there for the last three years - almost done with his tour and heading back soon.

Thanks for the concern, all of you, he's doing well and will be back here tomorrow. Stayin with us for almost two weeks, lying by the pool and buffing up in the gym with the odd round of bowling at our place.

Ah, to be a public servant :D
