Hi all,
I've been offered a Marketing and Business Development position with a large company and currently negotiating salary. Can anyone advise what is the pay range I should negotiate for? What is the pay range difference for a small company? I have a few years of experience in Customer relations. Appreciate any info, thanks!

Marketing and Business Development position
Re: Marketing and Business Development position
Hi 45dj, you have to be more specific in your description if you want a more accurate response to your question.45dj wrote:Hi all,

1) How large is this "large company"?
2) Is it a Manager position or Director, or Senior Manager?
3) How many years of experience do you have? (cust rlns doesn't strike me as relevant exp. for a Mkt & Biz Dev. position...)
4) Is this a really a Mktg & Biz Dev. position or a sales job? (sorry I have to ask this because I've come across too many grand-sounding positions which are disappointingly cold-calling sales jobs in nature)
If you can furnish us with these details, we can answer your question better.
Cheers!

there are 30 members in the staff. one of the small companies with 5 staff also made an offer today. It's for an executive position. part marketing, part sales and business development.Miss Swan wrote:Hi 45dj, you have to be more specific in your description if you want a more accurate response to your question.45dj wrote:Hi all,

Just a very very general gauge, for a large company, I guess $4000 would seem feasible.
For a small one, you can start from 3-4K?
Does this sound reasonable to you, or were you expecting more?
