66.6% victory - did the Devil play a part in the elections?

Post by Eric Shang » Mon, 08 May 2006 4:04 pm

Ominously, the establishment won the elections with a margin that is the sign of the Beast. Was it pure coincidence too that the incumbent's campaign was centered around bedeviling issues such as de-ceit and de-famation? And we all know well that the Dark Lord has his own Laws which he wields mightily to effect utter damnation upon those who oppose him - an act mirrored during the elections.

I worry for Singapore.

Quite surprising a comment, coming from someone who posted this in another thread:-

"It seems strategy is following: Don't make the opposition look bad with direct accusations, but make the voters believe it is really in your own interest to vote PAP."

Contrary to what you've posted, I'm giving you an example of how they're making the opposition look bad. And yet I'm accused of trolling...

The latest word is that the Unholy forces are contemplating criminal charges against both Gomez and Sylvia Lim, the latter being one of the most credible of the opposition members, for Gomez's form-filling blunder.

I'd love to see fantastic and eric shang have a debate . . . give them boxing gloves, though - they're both as insipid as each other.

lol! Give me a break, I'm new here. I'll need some time to atune to the level of bantering, self indulgence and congratulatory/ condolent pats on the back that fuel this forum. Everyone needs time to adjust.

I believe he was referring to the folks from the 'dark side' V.

Eric S, it's darkside for the lack of whitening products.

On a personal note though...

no name calling please, just because I'm not seeing anyone

And yes, I'm the one who's self-indulgent, but aren't we all from time to time...?

welcome, Eric S. you're a good sport.

and no, we are not all self-indulgent. take vaucluse for example, at one time he was even into self-flagellation. the poor child has a really low self-esteem which is why we need to indulge him a little more here.
