It's taken with a special panoramic lens camera array and a special tripod which will let you rotate about a horizontal axis. Similar to wide panoramic vista you often see of the Grand Canyon except there they use a vertical axis.
Can also use a stitching program found with most reputable digital camera systems. I used one provided by Canon to stitch this photo together (4 different shots)

Eric, like SMS said, but I would have guessed that it has been stitched together (as that is the far cheaper option).
As with SMS I like to use the one that came with my Canon printer, it is really good for panoramic landscape shots; click move a bit, click move a bit, click & then stitch them together. I have managed an array of 16 shots, but you can sometimes see the "seams"

CD you are quick to jump on my misidentity
I guess I just saw Ling's avatar & didn't read the name. But I forgive you
as I know you have been on the receiving end of much jesting about getting people mixed up recently.
I am impressed that you found a pic of someone standing on their head so quick - well done!

At first glance I also get confused due to the similarity.
I guess we need Ling2 to put up her most requested avatar again, then there is definitely NO CONFUSION what-so-ever! Please?

Hmmmm..SMS.... I see the problem here...
Alright, I shall change my avatar, which is my own painting actually
Nice of BG to compare my amateur work to Eric's Masterpiece hehehe
I could change it to other paintings of mine, but they have blue hue in most of them...thus will cause the same confusion again....
Anyway, I do not know there's a much requested avatar. May I know which is that?

I would say this avatar you have right now is perfect. We would not want to start another 10 page long thread about Ling2 butt.Altho it was a great top that could baffle many a great(male) mind
.
P.S Ling i must say that you are an exceptionally beautiful woman looking a your new avatar.
