Visit HongKong

Post by tiki » Fri, 05 May 2006 12:49 pm

I love HongKong...

for the sight and smell of the streets,

for the Dimsums and the local brew,

for the local customs who, upon seeing the ink on my skin question me about my involvement with any triads and who upon my reply that I used to work with a large American oil giant so that's the closest I got to a Mafia, baffles them,

for the 'rolex'es I can afford and in a fit or pretend anger, I could just throw it into the bay or at oncoming traffic without regrets,

for the ease of conducting business, you could fly in today and fly back home tomorrow,

most of all I love HongKong because..

with the well wishes from those of you who knew,

I am half a step closer to what I went there for.

I love HongKong...

for now.

One of the little Bailey's birth announcement photo had 'Made in Hong Kong' stamped across it -- so you can tell how fond I am of the place.

Oh yes Vaucluse...

that place for pets, where they serve live babies.

Though I notice they only eat their tongues..

just round the corner from that other place with the baby burger.

Thank you WIMH, it's more of a dream come true hopefully for a bunch of people/brats

Saint good to know you made it back safe and okay...

with 600kilos ( metric system ) worth of shopping and a few fans.

Eric
No details :x

I love Hong Kong, feels so much more like NYC to me. Don't love the pollution though. When we first came to Asia as expats we could choose HK or Singapore and we choose Singapore from a family, quality-of-life standpoint. If we didn't have kids I think HK would be the way to go.
