Need more details on to suggest what kind of phone are you looking for, just a normal phone to call, with mp3/audio, storage capacity and any pda functionality...
You will be able to get good phone with bargains @sim lim square, but do not forget to bargain and look around in couple of shops least
But why don't you go for a 2-years mobile plan with any one of the service provider!!

Sony Ericsson's model is not bad, decent space for playing MP3. Heard good reviews for w800i and w500i. You may like to consider that and check out the link that Breman had given you. (for the pricing wise)
Am using Motorola V3i, can store 50 songs in iTune and am quite happy with it really

The K750 is getting pretty affordable.

256MB is nothing... you can already get 1GB sticks b-new for about 120.
Sim Lim won't go much lower than that. Otherwise, you'll need to look in the second-hand shops found in most markets.

No, the 550 DOES NOT have expandable memory. Get a K750.
But if 256MB is enough for you, the W550 is a very good phone.

Any recommendations for a bsic phone without all the extra stuff. If it must have anything extra, maybe a camera. I dislike the things, but need it to keep try of children or maybethey are keeping track of me!
Unless, you can recommend to me why I would need all these extra features. I've decided that's waht I'll get myself for Mother's Day this year.
Thanks!
