Maid agency at Lucky plaza?

Post by 3and2006 » Wed, 03 May 2006 3:15 pm

Which maid agency at the Lucky plaza is good? Have you employed someone from those agencies? Efficient and honest with all paperwork, fees and do you recommend it?

Thanks..trying to decide where to go to find a maid.

3and2006 - we used an agent from east coast (Singapore Maid - or something like that). I was very satisfied with their service. Hopefully the maid will work out well for us though.
I did try one agency at Lucky Plaza (if i'm not mistaken the company was Averise), but didn't click well with the maid, but the company service was ok.

Good luck!

I have a lot of friends who have been very happy with Connie at the Prestige Agency at Tanglin Shopping Centre.

We used Intermares and they did an efficient job of the paperwork. When it comes to choosing a maid though I don't think any agency is so much better than another - that aspect of things is up to you to judge. We had a problem with the transfer as another very dodgy agency messed up our previous (sacked) maid's transfer. It needed a lot of extra phone calls and tact by Doris and her filippina assistant at Intermares to keep our new maid's previous employer sweet while we sorted it out. I would use her again if the need arose.
When we first arrived, we used an "expat agency". They were more expensive and didn't mention that we would only get a WP for a few months if maid's passport was due for renewal or advise that it was quite expensive to renew and we would need a Philippine Embassy notarised contract to renew. Would have appreciated the heads up when we didn't know how the system worked.

Thanks Skye..There are so many aspects that we.. new expats don't know about when hiring a maid...I will pay attention to those details...any other recommendations? Anyone?

just make sure your new maid is under OFW protection.
If you intent tO hire a phil maid, ensure that she is register
with the Phil Embassy for OFW.
Get a agency who had dealing with the embassy, this will
help. Mail me at [email protected] should you need
help.
