"it's not an easy job" - i meant. sorry...Matt10 wrote:Hello QM,
I gathered those information from some cabin crew (some are current budget FA, one went to the interview, SIA, EK, CX cabin crew etc).
"Tiger Airways are growing. And their competitor are losing and will be closing down soon." Are you sure? For your information, Air Asia is the best LCC in Asia and Valuair+Jetstar is becoming more profitable(according to CNA's business news). Never did i hear any news about Tiger Airways.
"Just like SIA 15 years ago, they have low pay too." SIA was already a top airline more than 15 years ago.
"It's an easy job" You have been changing your mind. You used to say it is very hard in a thread but now, it you say it is easy job.
Sorry if i offend you. I'm just trying to share information and 'defend' myself after being accused of giving wrong information.
Goodbye!

I don't want to change to SIA or any other airline yet.
I want to try out this smaller aircraft and to feel it for a year then I'll decide whether I want to make it as a career or not. Cause, even a small aircraft, some of my colleagues could take it. What more a bigger one?
Don't have to find me hunky la... aiyo. you very the over u know. haha.. just kidding
Sorry la dude, I got diploma... and fyi, smaller aircraft is not as tiring as bigger aircraft. And working in a budget airline is short trip and it's a turnaround. From there, I will decide whether is this job suitable for me? cause I don't want to be bonded for 3 years or so and in the end quit half-way and have to pay the bond to the company. As for tiger, the bond is 1 year only....sQ-StEwaRd-ShazNi wrote:queenie-me wrote:NO no.. wrong info.sQ-StEwaRd-ShazNi wrote:Lol..QM you wanna change to SIA??

What does it got to do with small or big aricraft??
Do you know that even if you work in a bigger aircraft you aare still going to do the SAME THING....Not extra work..Nonononononono....
MEGATOP(Boeing-747-400) has a total of 387 seats..
15-17 crew are required for MEGATOP..
Airbus (A380) has a total seating capacity of 555 seats...
According to some people now it's 475..
Ok so here's he catch. If in a samller aircraft there are a total of lets say 180 passengers?
180 seats..So it will take at least 5-7 FA??
What you're saying is that you cannot handle bigger aircraft...Meaning that you're thinking that bigger aircraft you do MORE things??
Smaller aircraft or bigger aicraft nothing is different...
If you say smaller number of crew..Yes that can be accepted.
Are you telling me that new FA's for SIA who do not have a single work experience in small or big aircraft cannot work??
Let me say this again...If SIA newbie stewards/stewardesses can handle the BIG plane,I don't see why you;re so afraid of working in a BIG plane..
One possible reason might be you have a low certificate(Sorry yeah no offence) or you just think that the work labour is more..
If you work on a bigger aircraft the work labour is the SAME my darling..
Because you have 17 more colleauges.....
I hope this gets into your brainy head....
Don't scold me ok I am just telling you the truth...Ok sweetheart?
Yep! QM doesnt want to work for SIA or SilkAir because she doesnt want to be labelled as an SQ girl. So she want to work for other airlines such Emirates, Qatar, Qantas etc.queenie-me wrote:NO no.. wrong info.sQ-StEwaRd-ShazNi wrote:Lol..QM you wanna change to SIA??

hehe..sQ-StEwaRd-ShazNi wrote:OK then good for you QM....
Anyway why don't you want to do long haul??
You earn more money on long haul.
You get more money on a Long Haul flight...1.5K for an International airline.
Oh and please don't scold me QM....
Good Luck FLyiiiiing!!
Incorrect - have a look at the doors on the different types of aircrafts, the layout of the cabin, location of emergency equipment, the additional facilities carried by international aircraft (e.g. gaming system, air to ground satellite link-up etc).sQ-StEwaRd-ShazNi wrote:

Not entirely true international routes require staff to be mindful of the culture of the country and the people with whom they are dealing. They also have the inflight entertainment sytem to deal with and 'cook' meals. Senior staff are trained to use a defribulator (hope I spelt that correctly) and use the air-ground satellite system in medical emergencies. If you work on a bigger aircraft the work labour is the SAME my darling..

Yes, she PM me about that. I still have the message in my inbox.singaporegrrl wrote:She did? How come I don't recall that? All I can remember was that she planned to join international airline after she pursue her BA.Matt10 wrote:Hey,
But you once said that you already have a placement in an international airline. But now, hmmmmm???
