For household stuff maybe a trip to Ikea, which is pronounced "Ickea" as opposed to the way they say it in the UK "eyekea" I have heard that "Ickea" is actually how they say it in Sweden.
Just a bit of trivia for you

For really cheap toys and kids clothes, try Giant. Not top quality, but if your little one is anything like my two, then you won't want to spend heaps on items that get detroyed anyway.
Hope your move goes well, Tuenyi.

Sounds like you're in top gear now!

Hi k1w1:
Where can I find "Giant"? Will come over for house hunting from April 17 - 19. Then move on May 15. Start working in SG office on May 22. Very rush and am a little bit stressed.

U can try IMM furniture mall.....i bought quite a bit of furnitures from there. There are so many choices available.
Very big place and comes with free parking.
And ikf u want to find electronic stuff, then u can go Harbour front.....thats my working place. I have been seeing tons and tons of promotions at the BIG on Safe shopping mall.
Cheers....

Hi Tuenyi,
Remember me, another 'Hongkey'(that's what Singaproean call those from HK) in the other thread. Closest to Woodlands, Admiralty, there is a Giant in Sembawang Shopping Centre. They have free shuttle bus service from Sembawang MRT station. For housefhold stuff, you can try NTUC Homemart in Sembawang MRT station. There is also Seagul in SunPlaza, also in Sembawang.
