35 minutes...enough?

Post by Tuenyi » Mon, 10 Apr 2006 2:07 pm

Traveling from Admiralty MRT station to Raffles Place MRT station. Total 15 MRT stations. Is 35 minutes ok?

Actually I've found a flat which is very close to the Admiralty MRT station, but my working place is in Raffles Place. Tha agent told me that it takes within 35 minutes. But I have no idea about this.

Anyone can answer my question? Many thanks!

About 37 minutes sounds good. Click the next to last link in lower right-hand corner of page for average times (pdf file).

Actually, in other countries.. 37 minutes travelling time considered reasonable short... but in singapore, admiralty is considered very far from town. also, rememnber to add in the waiting time for train.... not so frequent in sin.

But saying that, ok or not , depends on the rent... if it is cheaper than city by a lot, by all means go for it....

if u dont mind... what is rental u are paying for admiralty....?

You must also factor in your walking time. 37 mins on the train + 5 minutes wait time + 5 mins walking in both directions (which is quite short) = almost an hour under the best circumstances. I'd look closer, you should be able to find something for the same amount that is twice as close. Please consider that every time you want to come into town it will take an hour. There isn't a whole lot going on in the Admiralty area...
