Costa Del Sol Apartments

Post by Highland Chicken » Sat, 08 Apr 2006 9:32 pm

My other half received his formal job offer in the post today so his notice will be going in on Monday. We've been offered an apartment in the Costa Del Sol Complex. Anyone stayed at these apartments that could tell me what they're like?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Check the property listings on this site, comes with pics of the condominium...

In short: Huge condominium, nice appartments, only 2 or 3 years old, good quality, higher floors with great views of the sea (one whole 'wall' is window). Lots of empty appartments, bit of deserted feeling therefore. Location is east coast, right at the sea, 10 minutes drive from Changi airport. To downtown is 15 - 20 min drive.

Apartments

Hey Eric

Thanks for the info. The alternative is S$1500 a month and find our own place. Viable/Possible?

If we take their accommodation they throw in all the utilities and furniture but I think the S$1500 has to cover everything.

All help gratefully received.

S$ 1500 per month is possible outside the downtown area, 2 bedroom condo. The majority of condos here are being rented out fully or partly furnished, but unfurnished is also possible, bit cheaper even.

Utilities will set you back around S$100 to S$200 per month, depending on how much you use the aircon, as that one is costly.

Costa del Sol appartments should be more than S$1500 on the market though, a 2 bedroom there is most of the times S$2000 or more.

Costa Del sol is OK in location, a 5 min walk up the road to the bus stop. Thing that would put me off is that there are no balconies, but it is a nice new place with easy access to the park. I know a lady who lives there and she seems to like it.

I think it is quite empty still, as are alot of these newer apartment buildings. Sometimes they can be lacking in soundproofing compared to older places so you might prefer an end apartment so you only have neighbours on 3 sides!

But is the deal you get a big apt there all in, or you only get $1,500 per month if you live somewhere else? Are you the lady with 3 teenagers (or 2 plus one nearly teenager?) - I don't think you'd get anywhere big enough right on the coast for that amount, you'd have to move further in land.

Can you make the decision after you arrive or have you got to tell them now?
