Dear all
I am a CPE graduate (Common Professional Examination) from Hong Kong and am thinking of working in Singapore. According to the Law Society of Singapore, they only recognise CPE graduates who graduated prior to 1993 (which doesn't include my recently acclaimed qualification). Apparently now they only take LLB graduates from certain universities and only if they did the degree on a full time basis.
Does anyone know what the procedures are for overseas qualified law students to work in Singapore?
What if I complete my trainee contract in Hong Kong first, or if I become a qualified solicitor first in Hong Kong?
Would I still need to do further studies in Singapore before practice?
Please help.
