Hi all,

I went to an interesting indian vegeterian restaurant few weeks ago at the Excelsior hotel. Im not sure if you can call it a restaurant - how it works is that there is no fix price. You pay whatever amount you wish. you can order from a la carte or buffet style; sometimes depending on the chef. Oh yes, you do pay for the drinks though. The restaurant has a very authentic decoration - with carvings, statuts, very nice indeed. You have to check it out. It's at the 3rd floor i think, at the excelsior hotel. if you are lost, just ask anyone. Sorry i can't remember the name of the restaurant.

The Riverwalk Tandoor do a lunchtime buffet which is apparently only about $12. I haven't tried it yet. It is on the riverside opposite Clarke Quay MRT station (I think it is Southbridge Rd).

I have tried the one at the Sitara restaurant up Serrangoon Rd, opposite the road Mustafas is down. I haven't been for a while but it used to be $14 and was quite good - a couple of meat curries and a few veggie.

The only Italian buffet I know of is at Pete's Place in the Hyatt Hotel down Scotts Rd, again, it is a lunchtime buffet.

Hi

Try the restaurant on the ground floor of Tekka Mall for Indian food. Great price. Not buffet though.

Also, for a 'upper' class one, try the Tiffin Room at the Raffles Hotel.

I had taken my friend for the river walk tandoori, the buffet was really good though it was priced up

Really was thinking to try Shahi-maharani suggested by freakydove, alas the buffet had closed up early today.
How is the food there !? :)

I had tried the buffet dinner at the River Walk tandoori before. Was a mixed of north and south indian food.
Wasn't that impressed at all with the food.
I really enjoyed the food at Bukhara Restaurant before. They had good north indian ala carte and buffet dinner. But i am not too sure if they are still at Clarke Quay.
