Hi everyone, I read in the papers yesterday & double checked on the site that Emirates has put a clause that only Mandarin speaking applicants are able to apply this time round...

hmm I'm a male Malay, should I go or should I just submit my CV online? =/

29th October Open Day

Post by magikfairy » Fri, 28 Oct 2011 2:30 pm

Hi guys! I'll be going to the Open Day at M Hotel tomorrow 29th October. Anyone wanna tag along let me know! Oh btw, I'm Malay and can only understand and converse in basic Mandarin. You are not alone with regards to the Language requirement. Also, I am only at 157. Abit worried abt the arms reach but wish me luck and to all of you!

just give it a try~ u never know :)

went before earlier this year and although there are people who aren't chinese and chinese speakers, some got thru even though it was stated that you sld be able to converse in chinese. so even if you do not speak chinese, but you are what Ek is looking for, u will still be selected.

all the best! :)

just try! lol. i went for my first interview with qatar in 2006 and got shortlisted to the second round (only 50ppl out of hundreds) but i did not go through because i was only 18 then. been wasting years making up excuses that i wont get it so why bother trying but i totally changed my mindset to do it again after 5 yrs. have to be optimistic and there's the saying, you never know until you try. so i will try again tmw! :)
