im turning 21 in march.. they won't accept me if i go in Feb right? sigh

hi everyone, i just came back and got my letter for interview on 6 feb. i was really very taken aback when there was a group discussion! i thought it would be the one like qatar with only handing over of resume. the question really threw me off guard as well! but not mentioning it here.

i was waiting outside and waiting for the results. was really prepared to get sent home. so i was really very pleasantly surprised. but the selection process though short, did put me at ease, i told myself that i'd be learning something new even if i don't get in.

i see many people here asking many questions and being very interested. you need to be proactive, not pin pointing anyone, but take the initiative to find out more yourself, google!
even if you have no confidence, go and give it a try, you really LEARN. even when sitting down and waiting like an hr at qatar interview, i looked around me and watched how the girls behaved, sat, smiled. you WILL gain something.

so don't wait and wonder and whine! you have to TRY!

cythx, where can find the link for the coming walk in in Sg ? mind ti share how's the emirates inteview process like ?

Hi, you may go to emirates website to look for their open day. Last few weeks i check, they have open day in Singapore on February but now it's not there anymore.

Normally their first round is group discussion. They will let you know on the spot who is qualified to proceed to the following round on the other day. They will have english test too.

I am European female, 21 and have just recently moved to Singapore with my bf. I'm very interested being a cabin crew, but feel like i'm completely lost and don't know where to go or what to do.

I have been looking the websites etc and everywhere is SINGAPOREAN or PR ONLY, is it really no chance for foregin ppl. I dont have a diploma or some posh degree, all i have is previous experience in customer service as an waitress.

I have also been reading this forum and dont get really what kind of ppl go to those OD with emirates or any other airline. Are you guys expats??
Can anyone know to suggest any good courses which could help me to get a job as an cabin crew?

hi mesimum, you can attend OD for EK or QR in Singapore, every now and then they come to Singapore to recruit, as far as i know that's the only airline which expats can apply to since it doesn't require one to be singaporean or pr.

hi guys, does anybody know if theres going to be an emirates interview anytime sooon...? i got into SIA and have received a training date but i'm quite skeptical about it... hmm hmm.

lolooll hey babe! i dont know jst having emirates ideas suddenly cus last time i thought i might not get through so went for SQ...loool. I'm supposed to start training on 5th aug. haha babe, remove my name lah! later if i decide to join SIA i die....they see me having 2nd thoughts loool

haha. 5th august is really soon you know. have you signed the contract and finalized everything with SIA yet?

ive signed the contract but not the bond where ive got to bring dwn the surety....last week i kinda told Mary i needed to extend my start date so maybe she might re scheduled me so i dont know lol anyway im guessing emirates interview are usually in the early part of the yr in sg?

hi,

usually emirates has open day once every 3 or 4 months. and the last one was in april. and usually (from what i see from the previous 2,3 years) the next one will be in july. but till now, no open days yet.

i am waiting for their next open day too. been checking their website and up till their lastest news and dates for sept, singapore is not in the list.

so i think if you really want to be a cabin crew, perhaps u should take up SIA offer? unless u really want to fly for EK.
