There's a sandwich that used to be served in a deli in Montreal, Canada. The 'smoked meat' sandwich. The meat was beef. You would see slabs of beef in their display window, covered in peppercorns. Their other specialty was the strawberry cheesecake. Heavy cheesecake, New York style. The name of the deli/restaurant: Dunn's. It has moved; to Ottawa, I think.
I'm looking for the smoked meat. The closest thing that I've found here is pastrami. Not close enough. By any random miraculous act: has anyone seen Montreal smoked meat in Singapore...
