Actually it does matter since this thread is so old nobody is looking at it and simmy is just a memory so you are not likely to get a response from her or anybody else.

However, to answer your question you will not be able to relocate to Singapore as cabin crew. Should you care to read other threads on this site such as 'Careers and Jobs in Singapore' you will soon realize it is largely only foreign professionals or people with PR status that can work in Singapore.

Can anyone please advice me on the following!! I am a 24 yr old British citizen living in Uk for the past 24 years & I am hoping to apply for the SIA cabin crew position in Singapore, however I have read the SIA air stewardess requirements & I believe it says malaysian or singapore citizen, therefore I would like to know does that mean I have no hope as I am not any of the stated citizens.

Unfortunately I think SIA only recruits cabin crew from Asian countries, like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia. I've never seen an non-Asian looking face serving me on an SQ flight.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

SIA Crew

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
