Hi
Me and wife have moved recently from india and are staying in Tampines.
We have been on the look out for part time maids to do around 2.5 -3 hrs of cleaning work once a week.
Through word of mouth, we called some maids, but there is no commitment from their side of coming again. 2 have already ditched us after coming once.
i tried an agency but they say minimum is 4 hours. we are ok to go thru an agency but 4 hours of work is not required.
Are getting part time maids, a big hassle here.
does anyone know where we can get reliable part time maids who can be dependable.
cheers

Is your a 3 room or 4 room flat?
Min hours required is 3 to 4 hours per visit.
Reading your thread,it seem you really having
problems with part time maids.
Is there any mis communication between you
and the maid? Or the maids concerned is not
happy with your instructions on what to do....
...like this or like that.... or you keeping adding
more and more works but pay less.....

We have just moved into a house and the maids that we had been referred to are already tied up with other work in other households.
also could not find anyone in the nearby areas, all the referred ones need to come from other parts of town.
it is not that they are unhappy or we have added work to make them unhappy.

Hi,
Getting a partime maid is not a big hassle at all and i should said the min. standard hours to pay is 4hrs per visit. If your required them to work only 2.5 - 3hrs not unless you dont mind paying them 4hrs.

are these numbers of some agency who can send across part time maids.
the problem we have faced is the maids that came seem to be working full time mon-fri and can spare some time on sat/sun and that if they have no prior commitments.

I dont agree that it a standard that the part time maids are pay
for min of 4hours per visit. However I do believed it should be of
3hrs min per visit. Try the classified section and maybe there is
some one or the agency can help.
