Favourite Far Side - dedicated to Mary

Post by Vaucluse » Sat, 18 Mar 2006 9:20 pm

It's so difficult to decide which is the best, but my top three would have to be Giorgio Armani at Home, The Love Boat in the Straits of Hormuz and the following which an old girlfriend once had blown up and framed for me:

Thank you for this one too!

It is one of my all time favorites. Definitely in the top 5. I know kids like that.

Here are the other 4 in no particular order:

1. The dog at night with his snout in the old ladies window with the cat curled up on her bed: 'Puuuuut thhhee caaat ouuut...'

2. The cows sitting in their parlor watching the phone ring: 'there it goes again and here we sit without opposable thumbs'

3. The dog who has lured the unsuspecting cat into the laundryroom with signs that say 'cat fud' pointing into the dryer (and he's hidden behind the dryer saying quietly to himself 'oh please, oh please...)

But my favorite may be the couple silouetted on the hill top. He's a wolf and she's a sheep. She's so excited by the gift of flowers he is handing her her little feet are off the ground and he's looking over her shoulder and the caption is something like: Their relationship was doomed from the start. George was always worried what the pack would think, and Henrietta simply ate the flowers'.

Oh Gary Larsen I do miss you...

I like the two deer standing & talking in the woods & one has a bull's eye on his stomach & the other says : "Bummer of a birth mark Hal"

V, once out with some mates we were walking into a shop & my friend pushed when he should have pulled at the door & I quipped "school for the gifted" luckily he was a Larson fan & fell about laughing :D
