Smiths Chips, anyone know where I can get them?

Post by SwingMonkey » Sat, 18 Mar 2006 7:06 pm

Hiya all,

My girlfriend is a major fan of Smiths Potato Chips (or Crisps, or whatever), but they don't appear to be generally available in Singapore :(

Does anyone know of anywhere that is retailing them around town?

Greatly appreciated :)

Jellita Cold Storage has Plain and Salt and Vinegar thins.

Candy Empire on Millenium Walk has a lot of different flavours. I was there last weekend and they had lamb and mint sauce flavour????

Smiths no longer exists under the brand name, it is now Lays, you can get it at any cold storage or many other supermarkets.

Smiths crsips although taken over by Frito Lay are still available in Oz as Smiths (with that distinctive taste only Smiths crisps have), but sadly not to be found so far in Singapore that I can see...

Are we taling about Smiths as in smith's squares - very strong salt & vinegar square crisps?

Or Smiths salt n shake? where you got plain crisps with a small satchet of salt - now that wa a few years ago.

On the subject of crisps, I quite like the french fries type you get in a small tube (mini pringle sized tube) , but they are over priced.

But how I miss my Frazzles  or even Bacon Fries  Space Raiders

Never mind, happy to swop all that for a good wanton mee :D
