(By the way, XXX - you are twenty six and still write like a 12-year-old? Wonder why you were not selected?)

My apologies, dreamhaze, if you are 12.

Does it ever occur to you that if they wanted only experienced cabin crew they would have said so? Owing to the large volume of applicants they were able to be even more select than Singapore Airlines. Remember this is a foreign airline with fewer staff based regionally than SIA. Therefore competition is much greater. Those of you reading this who are genuinely interested should sharpen your English skills (written and verbal) and spend a good deal of time preparing your application and I do not mean filling in the application form.

Yeah it's not as if ALL that were selected were experienced cabin crews right? Even if the ex-cabin crews were selected, they might still possess the right qualities that attracted the interviewers. Same goes to successful applicants who aren't ex-cabin crews. And I don't think all of the ex-cabin crews who applied got through either.
And of course, don't always blame luck. If you think luck is the cause of it all, then I guess the interviewers picked applicants' names from a draw box. Of course it's ridiculous. What one can do is to analyse the whole interview process of the day and see what went wrong. It may be the slightest, oblivious mistake that got you out of the door for good. Think about it.

Dear All,
UA had shortlisted their cabin crews. The 1st batch will be flying to US in mid May and the 2nd batch will be in early June. Currently UA is conducting their 3rd round of interview, which is the final round.
Cheers!

Yap, i know it's not luck but dun you guys know that in all things that you do, no matter how good and how hardworking you are, you still need a little bit of luck. I dun believe that eveyone out there who din got shortlisted are all useless or not talented? I dun think there is anything worng with my CV as i got called up for interviews with other jobs which i din even include a cover letter. And for application for stewardess, i include a cover letter with my CV, which is similar to my stewardess friend.

Perhaps your CV worked for the other companies you sent in to and NOT United Airlines. Not all companies share the same standard of requirements.
Try again when the opportunity arises VT and in the meantime have a look through your CV again and figure out how you can spruce it up. Sometimes it's the way it is written not necessarily the qualifications.

Well, I got through the first and second (given my third round date on the spot) but didnt manage to make if for the final round. Was late for 15 mins...that must have axed me. The panel interview was pretty alrite, but there were so many scenario cases that I actually had to jolt down notes in order to catch them...anyway it's my first and will be my last time trying for an attendant position, the anticipation can really kill. Good luck pple!!

Yes but the wait time is Long for a general question. This question is not urgent and so someone in this community might know. It doesn't hurt to ask.
