I dun think there is anything worng with my CV as i got called up for interviews with other jobs which i din even include a cover letter. And for application for stewardess, i include a cover letter with my CV, which is similar to my stewardess friend.
Perhaps your CV worked for the other companies you sent in to and NOT United Airlines. Not all companies share the same standard of requirements.

Try again when the opportunity arises VT and in the meantime have a look through your CV again and figure out how you can spruce it up. Sometimes it's the way it is written not necessarily the qualifications.
Yap... Maybe. I'll try again next time..

So you mean that you have gone through for the 2nd round of interview.
So that mean you arent able to get in through by 3rd round? Is it true?Cuz you say now they are already conducting their 3rd round interview. Or you are still waiting for their email to send it to you after you have gone through for your 2nd round interview.

Well, at least its not that so bad for you already. That you have manage to go through 2nd round and try for 2nd round.

Thats great an im so happy for you. Did they tell you when will they send email to inform you and ask you to go for 3rd round interview? If 3rd round interview, you also manage to pass and get in? Are you going to consider whether you want to join in? How long will they let you know? Did they also say that to you and ask you to wait for how long for their email?

Wow so fast and some of them are so lucky. Those that have receive theirs to go and been ask for their 3rd round. Guess probably they really confirm that some of them are the one which they want to hired.

Hi gals,

Just curious if there is anyone who has confirmed to be accepted for this position.

My situation was a bit unique i guess. I got into the 3rd round of interview and was told that i was successful. BUT...the interviewer said that unfortunately the training quota has been met, so it means that I am not selected.

I find it kinda puzzling coz then in the first place...why did they ask me go for the 3rd round then if their quota are met. He also mentioned that if there is openings coming up, i can apply again. That means I m not even a reserve too. I guess he is just being courteous to reject me in a polite and optimisitc manner. Anyone in the same situation as me???? I went for the interview on Tuesday.

I also went for my 3rd round on tue 4/4/06 (I am a guy btw). But i was told that I wasnt the best fit at the moment and that I am encouraged to reapply 6 months later. In any case, did you submit yr 2 passport size picture? Cos from what I heard form the recept, that is the confirmation step prior to receiving your training package.

nope...they did not ask for my passport size photos....

i don't like the way that they give me a good news (that i m sucessful in the interview) then slap me with the bad news (or excuse that the training quota has reached).

I rather they tell me in a straight forward manner that i m not rejected, and it wld give me a very clear cut answer.

Hi everyone
I am one of the lucky ones. I applied on the Sat itself when I first saw UA's advert on Recruit. I was called and emailed a few days later and went for my 1st interview round on the 26 March. My 2nd round of interview was that same afternoon. I was asked to go back on the 28 for the 3rd interview and was offered the training opportunity on the day itself. I had just completed my medical check up and will be going for training in May in Chicago. A lot of my friends had applied as well and I guess their quota is really over as they only need 130 crew at the moment and many of my friends were not called for the interview too. There are many other airlines and opportunities again, I believe, if theres a will, theres a way. Don't give up and good luck!!!
