Hi everyone,

I'm back. Was so sick even on the interview day(sun) itself.

I was early though, thanks to emiko's and sharkie's advice previously, i was half an hour early! :) I was last in the group too, the interview merely asked me 2 questions, the rest of the girls were asked so many questions, perhaps they were not really interested in me too. :(

My group was so competitive, 1 grad, 1 tigerair crew, 1 ex emirates crew, 1 currently working for japan company and studied in japan, and last but not least me who only have 3Os and ite cert. This is how pathetic it turned out to be. I was so sick I sounded as though I was consulting a doctor when I spoke. :(

Well, its over, just keeping my fingers crossed.

I was just thinking.. If lets say you didnt state in the application you know japanese (basic), Then during interview if u could do an impressive jap intro, wouldnt it be really impressive? ( its like they were not expecting it.)

Jus thinking in terms of japanese mindset.. If u say u know, they expect u to be really quite good, and if u fall short... Besides if they were to compliment, which could be rare..u could say its really nothing, actually... And u will be a humbe person in their view!

Haha..

Hi Lolitaa, jus to share :

In my group, everyone did a little self intro in jap..except for one i think.. and the only thing i prepared to say in Jap was Ohayoo gozaimasu..

I think all the interviewers looked glum cept for the lady on the left, she gave me a big smile when i entered the room, so I smiled back. the laptop guy also looked friendly, but dun think he actually conducts the interview.
Dun know why but i was in a relaxed sort of mood and it felt natural when i did my intro. They asked me bout 2 or 3 questions i think. Perhaps its becos I saw my old time fren; she was from JAL and helping out with the height weight thingy! So nice to see an old fren.

I think everyone in my group was super tense.. When others are doing intro, they jus looked straight ahead with serious expression. But i think everyone did ok. Best of luck to all the deserving pple!

Well if u get into the 2nd round, i dunno if they will test on your japanese further... so unless u really studied japanese else i dun tink it would be that impressive when they test u on reading / conversation and u cant answer them. They will get disappointed & the marks will go down i guess...

Introduction u can prepare or ask your jap teacher/ friend, but 2nd round they may test u further so its hard to say.

Dun worry, they wun test u on reading in Japanese. Conversation-wise, they might speak to u in japanese during the interview if they think u know japanese, of course=) So don't fake it. If u can speak a little simple sentences, its good enough, shows u put in effort for the interview.

did not asking you questions??? :o
Yea, like the guy asked one of the girls when's her earliest availability and whether she can speak jap (she did abit then forgot the rest of it). The short hair lady also asked another applicant whether it's a step down from her previous job.. Stuff like dat.. But when i spoke and was done talking no one asked any questions or said anything to me..

Sigh.. Me too.. I had flu and cough..

My group had a girl currently with SATS, 1 with tourism dip and lots of tourism experience, 1 silk air crew and 1 shop manager. I only gt dip and on gng deg with no tourism/flight/airport experience..

At least they asked u 2 questions.. No one asked me anything.. And it was only after the interview that i realized i only did the self intro but not the "Why JAL..." question..

I know how u feel.. *hugs*

Hi Lolitaa! I think i was in your grp! If im not wrong.. I was the first to self intro.. the "grad" u mean? haha.. ok..

Anyway, dun worry.. i think u stand a good chance really, esp when u mentioned u were supposed to fly for SQ if not for the qualifications problem.. i think the interviewers will take that into consideration, since they dun reli emphasis much on qualifications, and u passed thru all the rounds for SQ, u must have been really good!
Oh yah.. i din't mention.. ur sick voice made u sound reli sexy too! No problem on that!

Yes they did asked me a few questions but i think my answers were quite "funny" cuz the guy and the senior stewardess kept laughing in regards to whatever my replies were and I wonder why? :P

Colleen,

I think its a good thing they ask you qns, at least u have a chance to express yourself .......
I think 80% i will be eliminated because of my voice!! The more matured lady interviewer doesnt seem to be pleased with my husky voice..... I mean who would hired a flight attendant that sounded so coarse like me, haha i think the passengers would be shock...
*sighz* :-|
