The closing date was 17th July. I think its the age factor as Sharkie mentioned on an earlier post that JAL rejected all applicants above 25..

Its not that bad! Being nice to someone there doesnt reduce your chances anyway. It depends on how u fare during the interview. During training, they always stress that they dun like competitiveness among the girls coz there is no promotion or anything. Everyone is the same.

I like your logic very much. We need certain level of competition to bring out the best in us but being overly competitive is bad for team spirit as people will only work for self-advancement and personal interest.

Emphasis on team work is what makes the Japanese culture/workforce so formidable. It enables them to produce zero defect items, a spirit not easily duplicated by others  . So I don't think being competitive will make you fit into Japanese corporate culture?

Exactly :) No point competing where there is nothing to be gained from it. Just be nice to everyone. You never know when they might be able to help you

I think what Emiko means is some people will glean information from fellow applicants to enhance their own prospects thereby 'stabbing them in the back' so to speak.

I feel like wearing shirt with pants... Anyone else feel the same way?

Flats can? Or must be heels?

Hair must be tied?

My number's 33 and my slot's on Saturday at 1045am. Are we interviewed in groups? As in like 3 or 4 applicants together interviewed by a panel?

During 3rd round, they will take u to a room to check your arms and legs for scars and tattoos.
How do they check? As in they grab ur arms and legs and stare? :P
